Downtown London is amazing!

Ok, We didn’t spend our whole time Downtown London!  But it was one of my favourite parts of Lindsey and Justin’s engagement session. Here is how we spent the rest of our time together as well.

We actually started off at their home in Dutton Ontario. It’s such a cute little town with so much character!  I think that’s a huge appeal for me to small towns.  The warm homey feeling, the cute buildings, and manicured gardens.  They just scream “Make a home here!!”  And Dutton is no exception.

We first started at their home with their HUGE dog Guinness.   Just behind their home is a beautiful abandoned rail track, its all grown over and perfect.  I wish I had one of these behind my place, I would have a million and one pictures of my girls there.

After the quick stop at home, Lindsey let me know they had some adult trikes that they would love to have photographs with.  Colour me intrigued! Having never seen one before and I was surprised at how great they are!  It has a retro and super fun vibe to it.  We got some super cute photos of them chasing each other, and just hanging out with the trikes.  It was a bit of a workout ( for them not me.  lol ) But I just love how they turned out!  We laughed, the laughed some more.  It is always the best feeling to see your clients have so much fun on a shoot.  It makes me love my job even more each time!

The cottage!

From there we headed to their cottage just out side Port Stanley.  It is the best little cottage ever!  Propped up on the side of a cliff, you get the most amazing views ever!  It was like being transported to the coast in California.

Then we hopped in our cars and raced to London.  Downtown was a little bit of a drive from Port Stanley so we employed some skilled driving.  lol.

Downtown London!

Our first stop was this beautiful old bridge right down by Michaels on the Thames.  Its this great little section of the downtown core, there is an old textile company building, There is a beautiful wall covered in Ivy and exposed stone walls.  Photographer heaven!  I’ll be keeping this hidden gem in my back pocket for future sessions for sure!

Next stop, the wicked alley ways that Downtown has to offer.  Being a huge fan of symmetry an alley appeals to me big time!  So we got some killer shots and lots of Laughs there was a dance off, big buildings and awesome graffiti.  All in all I would say it was one of the most fun shoots I’ve had in a little while, and I am really looking forward to their wedding this November in Windsor Ontario.
