Most people in London Ontario have spent some time in Springbank park. It’s one of London’s reasons for the nick name of the forest city.
It’s not every day that you get to be a part of an elopement in civic gardens though! Katy and Adam wanted to keep their ceremony to a bare minimum and not make a lot of fuss. Luckily Adams sister is an incredibly talented florist so the bouquet and boutonniere ( customized D&D dice included! ) Also one of Katy’s oldest friends is the amazing Catherine Krahn Makeup Artistry.
This was my first time doing an elopement and you can bet I am hooked now! They are a really beautiful way of putting a lot of emphasis on just the couple and their love for each other.
We went in with the plan to just go for a walk through the park and when inspiration struck we would take in and capitalize on the love that was most definitely in the air! When Katy, Adam and I first met I was getting to know them a little more and it came out that they often take ice cream dates.
As you can imagine I was so excited to see that there was an ice cream shop along the path in the middle of Springbank park! Is this place great or what! Of course we just had to stop for a little taste and just when you think Katy and Adam couldn’t get any cuter together, they shared their ice cream with each other and it was perfection! I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much during a shoot!
One of my goals moving forward will be to do a few elopement every season!
